The guys from V3DA approached me when they were looking to brand their revolutionary 3D Printhead,

After a technical explanation I quickly found out the “problem” they faced at V3DA; they have a great product but they could only promote the product in incomprehensible technical terms.

We promptly figured out this product needed to get out of the techsector and to come across less technical it needed a new sexy appearance. When I saw the new 3D print head, I immediately had an idea.

As a designer there are certain designs that you hope to be able to make someday. For me an ambigram was still high on my design bucket list. The print head on where the logo was going to be placed rotates during printing, so an ambigram seemed the perfect solution to me.
